Oregon ranks 20th among states for multiple jobholding

Even more info today from the Bureau of Labor Statistics! A report from the BLS on multiple jobholding shows Oregon with the 20th highest rate nationwide.

In 2009, 5.9 percent of Oregonians held multiple jobs. That's above the national rate (5.2%), and higher than our west coast neighbors. The rate of multiple jobholding in California was 4.4 percent for the year, and 5.5 percent of Washington workers held multiple jobs.

South Dakota had the highest multiple jobholding rate (10.3%), and Nevada had the lowest rate (3.7%).

Multiple jobholders include salary or wage workers who hold two or more jobs, self-employed workers who also hold a wage or salary job, or unpaid family workers who also hold a wage or salary job.
