Food and Drink Around the State!

This week we have several new business announcements around the state with a variety of food and drink options!


  • Sugartree Juice Co., offering juices and smoothies, opened at Sugartree Farm's produce stand near Winston. It employs two people. The News-Review, 7/13/2014

  • New Seasons will open a store on North Lombard Street in Portland in 2016. The Oregonian, 7/23/2014 

  • Cafe Yumm! opened in Wilsonville. Wilsonville Spokesman, 7/16/2014

  • Paleo Rage, a bakery offering paleo-friendly desserts, opened in Newberg. The Newberg Graphic, 7/16/2014 

  • Taps Drink-n-Fill, a growler station, opened in Warrenton. The Daily Astorian, 7/17/2014

  • Emmons Speciality Meats opened in Corvallis. Corvallis Gazette-Times, 7/14/2014
There were some other notable announcements too:


  • Construction will begin in March on the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry's Coastal Discovery Center in Newport. It is expected to open in the spring of 2016. News-Times, 6/30/2014


  • Relief Nursery, a program that helps prevent abuse and neglect of small children, will open in Grants Pass Grants Pass Daily Courier, 6/27/2014. It will employ four people. Relief Nursery is a private nonprofit with 23 sites across Oregon. 
  • Fire destroyed the Springfield Plywood and Veneer mill in Springfield, idling about 250 workers. The Register-Guard, 7/18/2014
