This week's business news around the state includes a number of exciting openings, and also a few closings:
- Stonetop Pizza, a late-night, delivery-only restaurant, opened in Ashland. Ashland Daily Tidings, 11/19/2013
- Lux, a salon, opened in Roseburg. It offers hair styling, manicures, pedicures, and skin care. In addition to two owners, it employs six independent contractors. The News-Review, 12/2/2013

- Fogo de Chao, a fine-dining Brazilian restaurant chain, will open a location in downtown Portland. The Oregonian, 12/4/2013
- House Happy, a company in Portland that developed a visual-based search engine for real estate that connects buyers and sellers, added five employees. Portland Business Journal, 11/21/2013
- Natural Grocers will open in Corvallis. It will employ 20 to 25 people, but could add 25 to 30 more. Corvallis Gazette-Times, 12/3/2013

- H.J. Heinz Co., Malheur County's largest private employer, will close three plants in North America in coming months and cut 1,350 jobs, but its Ontario operations were spared this time. Twenty-six management positions in Ontario were cut in August. Argus Observer, 11/15/2013
