Grocery Stores and Health Clinics Around the State

Two themes appeared in this week's listing of business announcements: new grocery stores and delis (yum)!
  • Natural Grocers, an organic food retailer, will open in Salem by June. The grocery chain also plans to open another branch in Medford. These stores will be the Colorado-based company's first locations in Oregon. Statesman Journal, 1/4/2013
  • The Warehouse Café in southeast Portland has expanded into Warehouse Café & Market, and now includes a small grocery shop in addition to serving coffee, sandwiches, soups, and salads. The Oregonian, 12/30/2012
  • Tails & Trotters, a butcher shop and deli, opened in northeast Portland. The shop specializes in pork products. The Oregonian, 12/23/2012
We also saw several listings for expanding health and wellness clinics:
  • Columbia Memorial Hospital will open the CMH Primary Care Clinic in Warrenton's North Coast Retail Center in mid-2013. The clinic will offer both primary and urgent care services in the new 3,600 -square-foot clinic and will eventually add 10 new employees, including a new primary care physician. The Daily Astorian, 12/27/2012
  • St. Luke's Clinic - Eastern Oregon Medical Associates in Baker City has nearly doubled in size, making room for major expansion and modernization of its operations. The expanded area houses a staff of 55 employees, including 11 providers. Baker City Herald, 12/26/2012
  • Eng Acupuncture Center in Silverton added two acupuncturists. Appeal Tribune, 12/18/2012
