There were a number of new apparel stores in this week's compilation of business announcements:

•  Tory Burch will open at Pioneer Place in Portland in mid-October. It will offer women's clothing and accessories. The Oregonian, 8/21/2012

•  Alexa Stark opened in northeast Portland. It offers original lines of men's and women's clothes made from new, organic, salvaged, recycled, and vintage materials. Neighborhood Notes, 8/7/2012

•  Aries Apparel, a specialty female athletic apparel, equipment, and accessories retailer, will open a store at Clackamas Town Center in Portland. Clackamas Review, 8/7/2012 

A few tea and coffee shops also made their debut:

•  Barista, a coffee shop, opened in downtown Portland. It also offers pastries and cookies from Nuvrei Patisserie and Two Tarts Bakery. Neighborhood Notes, 8/7/2012

•  Bellisima Salon & Boutique opened in Astoria. It offers facials, waxing, hair design, color, highlights, and haircuts. The Daily Astorian, 8/16/2012

•  One Creativity & Design, a hair salon, opened in southwest Portland. The Oregonian, 7/30/2012
