Hobbies, Food, and Relaxation Around the State

We have an interesting mix of new and expanding businesses in this week's Around the State, including quilting, food processing, and spas:
  • Fiddlesticks Quilting will open at the Four Seasons Market Place in Vancouver. The Columbian, 10/3/2011
  • Yankee Dutch Quilting & Dry Goods opened in Brownsville. Albany Democrat-Herald, 10/10/2011
  • Pressure Safe LLC, a food processing company, will open in Wood Village. It will use high pressure processing technology to sterilize and preserve meats and other food products. The plant will initially employ 25 to 30 workers and expand to 50 within a year. The Outlook, 10/12/2011

  • Cosmos Carmel Corn is automating its manufacturing process and expanding its office and storage space in Eugene. It employs 26 people, but plans to double its workforce in 2012. The Register-Guard, 10/9/2011

  • Rejuvenation Massage and Spa in Lincoln City is adding a naturopathic medical practice to its business. The News Guard, 9/28/2011
