A number of stores dedicated to music, video rentals, dance, and other forms of entertainment came up in this week's Around the State:

• Downtown Dance, a contemporary dance studio, will open in Corvallis. Corvallis Gazette-Times, 9/19/2011

• Off the Charts Games opened in Gresham. It offers games and puzzles. The Outlook, 9/7/2011

• The Peanut Gallery, a movie rental store, opened in La Grande. The Observer, 9/14/2011

• Knick Knack Patty Wac, a hand crafts store, opened in Klamath Falls. Herald and News, 9/11/2011

There were also a few announcements on used or recycled merchandise stores:

• From Our Hands to Yours, a second hand store, opened in Myrtle Creek. The Register-Guard, 9/18/2011

• Etcetera opened in north Portland. It offers gifts and home furnishings that are locally made or repurposed. Neighborhood Notes, 9/6/2011

• The Office Exchange and Altman Office Furniture, two used office furniture stores in Eugene, closed. The Register-Guard, 9/18/2011
