SolarWorld Expanding; Teachers Struggling to Find Jobs

This weekend's Oregonian newspaper shared two articles related to business and employment in Oregon.

The first article was on SolarWorld, a German manufacturer of solar panels. The company has a large plant in Hillsboro and just announced plans to expand. See the article: SolarWorld to add production step in Hillsboro

The second article was about Oregon's recent college graduates in the field of teaching. It seems that these young hopefuls are having a difficult time finding employment. "With schools offering jobs to only about one-third as many teachers as normal, there was fierce competition for nearly every opening..."
