Last week The Oregonian reported that the Woodburn Company Stores started work on a $10 million expansion that will add 16 new stores. The expansion will add nearly 40,000 square feet of additional retail space. Woodburn recently reported that it hit a record 4.4 million visitors in 2011, including 720 buses carrying almost 23,000 domestic and international shoppers.
While details are scarce, a Central Oregonian story reports that Apple, Inc. has purchased a parcel of land in Crook County. The City of Prineville has annexed the piece of land so that water and sewer infrastructure can be provided.
