Unemployment Rates Stabilize Across State, Remain High in Rural Areas

Unemployment rates have stabilized in all regions of the state, but the rate in rural areas is well above the rate in urban areas.  In fact, in all three groups graphed below, the employment rate has remained the same for the past three months. The Portland metro was at 6.2 percent, all other metro areas were at 7.3 percent, and non-metro areas were at 8.5 percent.
