Here is one of our latest graphs at the Oregon Employment Department. It shows industry jobs per thousand Oregon residents for each of Oregon's major industries and projects this number through 2022. For example, in 1990, there were about 72 manufacturing jobs per 1,000 Oregonians. This number dropped to about 45 per thousand by 2013, and we expect it to drop to about 44 per thousand by 2022.
Note that the legend on the right hand side of the graph corresponds to the data starting in 1990. For example, the fourth category from the top of the legend is 'Health care and social assistance,' so the health care and social assistance graph is the fourth line from the top in 1990.
