Now Open! New Businesses Around the State

This week's Around the State business announcements include a variety of new businesses:
  • The Saltwater restaurant opened in Gold Beach. It specializes in seafood and burgers. Curry County Reporter, 8/28/2013
  • Oregon Shakespeare Festival will open a new, $7-million theater production building in Talent next month. The facility will consolidate operations at various locations in Ashland and a paint shop in Phoenix. Ashland Daily Tidings, 9/3/2013
  • Elite Auto Detail opened in Grants Pass. It provides detailing services for autos, boats, RVs, and motorcycles. Grants Pass Daily Courier, 9/1/2013
  • Tofurky will open a $12-million plant in Hood River by January. It will employ about 30 people. KGW, 9/5/2013
  • Gramor Development will break ground this month on Timberland Town Center, a 90,000-square-foot, $30-million center in Beaverton that will open in the fall of 2014. Tenants will include Market of Choice, Ava Roasteria, Zucari Home & Garden, La Belle Nail Salon, and B'Tan Sun Studio. The Oregonian, 9/10/2013

  • Klamath Family Head Start program in Chiloquin will close due to funding cuts from federal sequestration. Herald and News, 8/29/2013
  • Brady's Books in Lincoln City will close. News-Times, 9/4/2013
  • Classic Home & Antique in southeast Portland will close. The Oregonian, 9/6/2013
  • Pho Van, a Portland-area Vietnamese restaurant chain, will close its Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard location. The Oregonian, 8/30/2013
