Get it All in One Place Around the State

Our weekly release of Around the State business announcements includes several businesses where you can get a variety of items or experiences all in one place: 
  • Curbside Cuisine, a mobile restaurant, opened in North Bend. It offers bento, burgers, quesadillas, and soft tacos. The World, 7/5/2013  
  • Nestucca Trading Company opened in Neskowin. It features a grocery store, deli, wine shop, and an art gallery. Headlight-Herald, 7/3/2013 
  • Morrtons, a pizza/sports bar/family dining establishment, opened in Medford. Mail Tribune, 7/3/2013 
  • Orox Leather Co. opened a store and workshop in northwest Portland. It offers sandals, high-fashion bags, purses, wallets, and belts. The Oregonian, 7/16/2013
Some large announcements recently made the news too: 
  • Walmart will hire about 95 full- and part-time employees for its new Neighborhood Market in the Gateway area of Springfield, which is scheduled to open this fall. The Register-Guard, 7/9/2013 
  • Pacific Coast Seafoods reopened its fish processing plant at the Port of Astoria's Tongue Point facility after fire devastated its Warrenton plant. It employs 140 people year-round and up to 60 seasonal workers. The Daily Astorian, 7/3/2013 
  • Obsidian Renewables plans to build a 500-kilowatt solar energy generation facility adjacent to its existing site in LakeviewLake County Examiner, 7/3/2013  
  • Pfriem Family Brewing in Hood River plans to double its size. The expansion will allow it to hire additional employees, bringing its workforce to 25. Columbia River Gorge Business Review, 7/17/2013
