Jobs Around the State!

A number of this week's Around the State business announcements report the hiring and addition of workers.

  • Wells Fargo Home Mortgage will to move its home loan operations office in Clackamas to a building at Cascade Station near the Portland International Airport. It plans to add 90 underwriters. Portland Business Journal, 3/5/2013 
  • The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs chose a site in Eugene for a new medical clinic that could employ up to 235 people when it opens in February 2015. The Register-Guard, 3/1/2013 
  • The Malheur National Forest expects to hire at least 50 temporary workers, more than the usual summer hiring, as part of its Accelerated Restoration Program. It's hosting job fairs in John Day and Burns to help people through the job application process. Blue Mountain Eagle, 2/13/2013 
  • Wells Fargo will open a commercial banking satellite office in Salem and plans to hire staff. Statesman Journal, 2/18/2013 
  • Dutch Bros. Coffee will open in Sherwood. It will employ 10 people. The Sherwood Gazette, 2/21/2013
