New Breweries and Business Expansions Around the State

The number of Oregon breweries continues to grow, with new locations popping up throughout the state:
  • Breakside Brewery Taphouse, a 24-tap tasting room, opened in Milwaukie. The Oregonian, 2/3/2013 
  • Mazama Brewing Co., a microbrewery, will open in Corvallis next month. Corvallis Gazette-Times, 2/12/2013 
  • Cascade Locks Ale House, a pub and restaurant, opened in Cascade Locks. Columbia River Gorge Business Review, 2/12/2013
Recent news also included several expansions:
  • Bend Memorial Clinic plans to add 15 high-skilled medical professionals, including physicians and technicians. The Bulletin, 2/3/2013
  •  Diode Laser Concepts, located north of the Medford airport, plans to add 15 to 25 workers in the next three to five years. The high-tech company produces custom components for manufacturing clients in the medical instrument, automobile, and food industries. Mail Tribune, 2/12/2013 
  • Portland-based ZoomCare opened a primary care clinic in Vancouver. The Columbian, 1/28/2013
And last but not least, one big seasonal hiring announcement:
  • Home Depot plans to hire 675 seasonal workers in the Portland area as it ramps up for its busiest time of the year. The Oregonian, 2/13/2013
