Business Expansions and Temporary Closures Around the State

A number of businesses are expanding existing operations, or opening new locations:
  •  RV Corral, a recreational vehicle dealer in Eugene, has acquired an adjacent 3.5 acre lot and is expanding its sales and service area. It plans to add six seasonal and six permanent workers to its staff. The Register-Guard, 12/4/2012
  • Smolich Motors recently purchased land on the north end of Bend and plans to develop the property into a new dealership within the next few months. The Bulletin, 11/29/2012
  • Joe's Burgers opened a new location in downtown Portland. The Oregonian, 12/2/2012 
  • The Bier Stein, a connoisseur beer store, will move to a larger location in Eugene, where it will have room to expand online sales and shipping services. Eugene Weekly, 12/6/2012
A few companies are planning temporary closures for financial reasons, or to remodel: 
  • Oregon Resources Corp. temporarily suspended operations at its Bunker Hill processing plant. It plans to reopen in six to 12 months. The World, 12/4/2012
