The Puget Sound Business Journal reports that three manufacturing projects in Washington one in Oregon received a total of $1.8 million in federal grants.
The three Washington projects -- Innovations in Advanced Materials and Metals, Impact Washington, and
Vancouver-based Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council -- will share the grant funds with Portland-based Oregon Microenterprise Network.
Overall, 10 public-private partnerships nationwide were selected through the Advanced
Manufacturing Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Challenge, a multi-agency federal grant aimed at strengthening
advanced manufacturing at local levels.
