What's New Around the State?

The short answer: a lot! Here's a sampling of the many business announcements in this week's edition of Around the State:
  • Tillamook Eco Adventures, a tour business, opened in Tillamook County. Headlight-Herald, 6/27/2012
  • National Response Corporation moved one of its offshore multipurpose vessels to Astoria. The boat usually has a crew of five to help with oil spills and firefighting. The Daily Astorian, 6/28/2012
  • OnTo Technology LLC in Bend received a two-year, $1-million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop a means to recycle electric car batteries on a large scale. The Bulletin, 6/30/2012
  • The Oregon Department of Transportation will close its road maintenance facility near Flora on November 1. The two employees will be relocated to Enterprise. Wallowa County Chieftain, 6/6/2012
  • Ashland-based Brammo Motorsports plans to add 20 workers by the end of the year. Mail Tribune, 7/2/2012

  • Grand Central Bakery will open a location in northeast Portland's Beaumont neighborhood. It will employ 12 people. The Oregonian, 6/29/2012
