What do Natural Products, Pizza, and Coffee have in common?

The answer is: all these items are related to stores and restaurants that appeared in this week's Around the State! As an added bonus, these announcements also come in pairs.

Here are a couple of natural products stores:
  • Astoria Hemp Works is relocating and will begin manufacturing its own hemp and bamboo fabric products. It plans to hire three people for production and one additional salesperson. The Daily Astorian, 1/19/2012
  • Rollie Pollie Tobacco Company opened in Grants Pass. It sells roll-your-own bulk tobacco leaves, accessories, oil burners, pipes, pipe tobacco, and cigars. Grants Pass Daily Courier, 2/4/2012
Also, two new pizza restaurants:
  • Beachin' Pizza opened in Lincoln City. The News Guard, 1/24/2012
  • Sizzle Pie opened a location in downtown Portland. It offers East Coast-style and vegan pizzas. Neighborhood Notes, 2/7/2012
And last, but certainly not least: a duo of coffee shops!
  • Pirate Coffee Company opened in Lincoln City. The News Guard, 2/7/2012
  • 10 Speed Roastery, a coffee bar, opened in Hood River. Hood River News, 2/3/2012
You can find more listings in the latest edition of Around the State, or by trying our online AtS tool, which offers a customizable search of news archives.
