Art galleries and other business news Around the State

This week's business announcements show one step forward and one step backwards for the art community.
  • Synchronicity 101, anart gallery, opened in Yachats. South Lincoln County News, 7/20/2011
  • The Falls City Arts Center will close. It offers classes and has a gift shop and gallery. Polk County Itemizer-Observer, 7/13/2011
Here are a few other notable changes around the state:

  • A 400-acre cattle and hay ranch in Garden Valley is being converted into a vineyard under the direction of Henri Development Co. One hundred fifty acres will be planted with winegrape stock this summer. It will employ about 12 workers. The News-Review, 7/17/2011
  • Best Face Forward Facial Studio and Day Spa opened in Salem. Statesman Journal, 6/27/2011
  • Granger Bros. Auto Sales opened in North Bend. It specializes in financing for customers who need to establish or reestablish credit. The World, 7/20/2011
