Lakeof the Woods Lodge east of Medford is being expanded and upgraded as part of a $3.5-million project. The lodge, which employs up to 50 people in its peak season, is surrounded by a marina that includes a pizza parlor, bait shop, general store, 27 cabins, and a 26-unit RV park. Goody's Candy Store Inc. will add 2,000 square feet to a vacant building in Bend and use it as a factory and store for its ice cream and chocolate products. It plans to add five to ten employees.
