It's Census Day, Hooray!

April 1st
It's an important day. There are many things associated with the month of April, like...

Playing an "April Fool's" prank (as Google does every year)
Taxes come due (mid-month)
It's the Easter season (for those who celebrate the holiday)
Showers of rain (to encourage flowers in May, or so goes the saying)

And this year: The Decennial Census!

The Census should be completed according to your household population on April 1st and mailed back asap. Being data geeks, we really love the Census. It provides a lot of useful information and helps us answer questions receive from you great people, our customers.

This year, the Census has an interactive map showing return rates by state, county, city, and more: http://2010.census.gov/2010census/take10map/ As of this moment, about half of the Census forms have been returned.

If you'd like to learn a little more about the Census, please go to http://2010.census.gov/2010census/index.php or get in touch with one of the blog authors. We enjoy answering questions!
