February: Employment down slightly, unemployment rate stable

In February, Oregon's unemployment rate was 10.5 percent -- essentially the same as January's rate (10.7 percent). Oregon lost about 1,200 jobs over the month, after gaining 1,200 from December to January.

Construction, durable goods manufacturing, and educational services showed the steepest declines from January to February. A few industries managed to add jobs over the month.
