Local Business Highlight: Copa Di Vino

Oregon wine company "Copa Di Vino" (copadivino.com) was featured in The Oregonian earlier this month. The company is based out of The Dalles in Eastern Oregon.

Their trademark? Wine packaged in a single-serving glass. (The company name roughly translates to "wine by the glass.") According to the article, other companies have tried to create a similar product, but have struggled with how to effectively seal their single serving containers. Copa Di Vino found a new method.

Copa is working with a French company to distribute its product. The wine comes from the company owner's vineyard, although he hopes to expand and bottle wine for other local companies.

The company website lists half a dozen locations where the product is sold, including Whole Foods and New Seasons grocery stores, Mt. Hood Meadows, and a few golf courses.
