This week's Around the State news included several announcements related to medicine. For instance...

Frensius Medical Care Dialysis Services opened in Coos Bay. The World, 2-13-10

Rainbow Lotus Healing, a holistic healing business, opened in Manzanita. It employs two people. Headlight Herald, 2-10-10

• Thanks to various grants, North East Oregon Network – a health care-related network serving Union, Baker, and Wallowa counties – has increased its staff to eight members. The Observer, 2-15-10

Damascus Physical Therapy will open at the Damascus Center. Portland Business Journal, 2-5-10

Salem Hospital has eliminated 43 full-time equivalent positions since October, and more employees are working shorter weeks. Statesman Journal, 2-19-10
