Feeling hungry?

There were a lot of announcements about restaurants (and other food-related businesses) in this week's Around the State. For instance:

Sweet Perfection bakery opened in Tillamook. It employs two people. Headlight Herald, 12-2-09

Yummy Garden Express, a Chinese restaurant, opened in Roseburg. The News-Review, 12-6-09

CE Lovejoy’s, an independently owned grocery store, will open at the Brookswood Meadow Shopping Center in Bend in April. Bend Bulletin, 12-9-09

The Hungry Redneck Cafe in Durkee has seen its sales drop more than 30 percent since officials at the nearby Ash Grove Cement plant announced plans to lay off 68 of the factory’s 116 workers. The restaurant employed six cooks and waitresses, but has had to lay off two people. Baker City Herald, 11-27-09

The Village Grill opened in Wood Village. It employs about 12 people. Gresham Outlook, 12-9-09

The Ruby Ranch Cookhouse in Warren closed. South County Spotlight, 12-9-09
