Oregon's Help Wanted Ads Down in March

Oregon's online job advertisements fell by 4,600 to about 65,800 in March.  According to The Conference Board's Help Wanted OnLine data series, the number was also down about 600 (-1%) from 2013.

While March saw a big drop in ads, February had relatively large gains.  This means there probably hasn't been much real change in labor demand so far in 2014.

The occupations with the highest number of online ads in March were registered nurses (3,100), heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers (1,600), and retail salespersons (1,500).
